Never Ever Give Up

MO:

If you think it´s hard teaching your body something new...If you think it´s physical and challenging...
If you think the task is daunting and you have thoughts like: "I´m never gonna make it" and other un-constructive doubts...just remember:
You learned how to sit,
you learned how to crawl,
how to stand,
how to walk,
how to run..
man, you even learned how to EAT...all within those first crucial months of your life.

Right now, Robin is my biggest inspiration in all things physically challenging.
His joy(and sometimes anger), determination and sheer grit that goes into getting every limb in the right place at the right time and NEVER giving UP, will stay with me during the next weeks´ runs, lifting, pushing, stretching and biking.
Nothing is impossible.

Technical, tedious, training tools.

MO:

Training to-do-list:

* increase range of motion in my ankles - an everlasting project.
* build strength, contact and endurance in my mid- to low trapezius.
* work on my technique in Olympic weightlifting. Hm. Very hard to do absolutely right until point number 1 has improved.

When your training and fitness level has reached a certain point, it´s the tiniest, technical and/or most tedious things that makes the biggest difference. I know that if I can keep this up, in 6 months time I will run faster, jump higher, lift heavier and last longer. Phew.

Training Goals Autumn 2009

MO:

Autumn is finally here.
For me autumn is a time for contemplation and reflection. And training. In my world, there is no better way to keep the oncoming winter blues at bay.
(Winter is about surviving and Spring is about a fresh start, but that´s a future thread...).

My training goals for Autumn 2009:

By Christmas I´ll be:
* Running 10k (8+2) in Skatås with the pram once a week.
* Snatching a 24kg kettlebell.
* Doing deep squatting again - which means I´ll have to do heaps of work on lengthening my calves and increasing my ankle mobility about 70%.
* Doing chins and push-ups regularly.
* Working, working, working on that handstand-technique.

Basic, hard training with a multitude of variation, will be my motto.
