You are trouble, baby

MO:

Again, thanks to everyone who made it to yoga this morning... It´s rare that we get to see a few decimeters of snow in Gothenburg, so when it happens the city normally comes to a standstill.
I must say it´s pretty beautiful outside right now, though. -12 and powder snow.

We went to the movies this afternoon and watched "Luftslottet som sprängdes". Entertaining and well casted. Especially Noomi Rapace, who carries the trilogy on her narrow shoulders.

Robin is still not happy to be left with babysitters. Poor grandma & grandpa, once again they had a SCREAMING grandchild for about 2 1/2h... What to do and when will it stop? I feel sorry for mum & dad. They feel sorry for Robin, but he is not suffering. He´s just pissed off his parents are not there. Where could he have got that temper and lack of patience? Hm. Nobody knows. Shush now.

Love me tender

MO:

Funny, as we were about to take our seats, I receive an sms: "You look good down there on row 2...". Turns out we were not the only toddler parents having called in baby-sitters to be able to go to the cinema this Sunday. Malin & Daniel also bribed theirs, to see "Flickan som lekte med elden".
What P and I got confirmed tonight, was that Robin is not ready to be left for a full day and a night just yet. He cried his way through the afternoon and didn´t stop until we were back, so I just canceled our trip to Stockholm next week. No Maxwell live at Berns, I´m afraid.

I thought about something when I was out on a (very heavy) lunchtime run today. This is a little something for those of you out there in a relationship.
Ask yourself this question: What makes your partner love you?
Make a list and then compare it to the actual answer/s. Does it match? Does it matter if it does? Is it the same qualities that were important when you started dating, or have priorities changed? Is it personality traits or learned skills or both that makes him/her certain that you are the One?

What I put on the list? Well, let´s just say that it didn´t include my cooking skills...

I carried a water melon...

Story of my life :)

Well, not all the time (but still there are moments and they always occur around the same person :)

BUT this MOVIE has had a deep impact on my life! I remember the first time watching it - Me, mom and dad were in the store, I wanted to rent a movie and locked at the usual "kid/youth" movies, I guess I was around 9-10 years old. Then mom showed me Dirty Dancing. I looked at it and thought - Uh an OLD MOVIE, how fun can that be...?!

3 hours later I WAS in LOVE with Patrick Swayze!!!
And 1 month later I knew al the lines, songs and moves :)

This weekend I saw the Musical in London - and yes I CRIED. Don't know if it's the memories from growing up, the music or the story itself but it is rooted deep deep in my heart!!! And the little girl inside of me wants the fairy tale...

These are my favourites:

  • Look, spaghetti arms. This is my dance space. This is your dance space. I don't go into yours, you don't go into mine. - Oh la la ... I could join let's dance if I had a partner who said that ;)
  • I carried a water melon - Yep, you know the feeling! Do we ever stop with this nonsens and tell the truth i.e what we're actually feeling? Or is that to intimidating?
  • Nobady puts baby in a corner - Love being an indipendatn woman but it is also nice to have someone who stands up for you!
  • And most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I'm with you. - Love is a scary thing!
  • Baby: So I did it for nothing. I hurt my family, you lost your job anyway, I did it for *nothing*!
  • Johnny: No, no, not for nothin', Baby! Nobody has ever done anything like that for me before.
  • Baby: You were right, Johnny. You can't win no matter what you do!
  • Johnny: You listen to me. I don't wanna hear that from you. *You* can!
  • Baby: [pause] I used to think so. - I used to think so to !!
And THE song is MY FAV :)

Sweet Hollywood Dreams ;)

25 degrees and rising...

MO:
25 degrees and rising...
What´s a super-pregnant gal to do? Go to the ocean and cool down, maybe?
For the record: I normally don´t go in to the Swedish sea until August (when it has reached well above 22 degrees)...but, with the extra thermal padding attached to the front of my body and being a baby making machine in its prime, I REALLY needed some cool water (17.5 degrees to be exact, some person, read Claes Ohlson nerd, had actually brought a thermometer to the beach...) on my skin....and here are the pictures to prove it:

YES! I survived the Swedish ocean in June. Without needing resuscitation afterwards!Amazing, eh?

Belly-Bump at 39 weeks (or 38+4 to be exact), Bikini H&M

The afternoon was spent eating ice-cream and going to a movie - "The Proposal"- (with Sandra Bullock). It was funny, even quite hilarious in places, light and shown in a perfectly air-conditioned theatre.
Just my kinda day. :)
PS. So, after nipple stimulation,
powerwalks/running,
weight training,
massages,
squats,
sex,
What else can be tried for getting "Putte" out???

Men who hates women

Mo:

I remember thinking when I read the book "How will they ever be able to make a movie out of this?" Expecting the acting to be crap ("Dramaten"-svenska in all the wrong places), and the violence to be unrealistic and made for TV-style.

To tell you the truth, I really enjoyed the movie. I´d even give it 4 out of 5 as far as Swedish made movies go! (Well, it did have Danish directors, I guess...)
Noomi Rapace was seriously well casted as Lisbeth and didn´t disappoint. To be able to catch that silent, weird moodiness that made Lisbeth an interesting and dark character in the books, without over-acting and managing to look believable, deserves due credit...

I did a Kettlebell workshop for Gymnasium this afternoon - great fun and it hardly felt like work at all! - Thanks for the power & grace, JOJO, (who joined for the class) I hope your legs will feel alright for your BB-class tomorrow!

Tomorrow morning I´m teaching a class for Friskis & Svettis Gothenburg at their Inspiration Day. I love working with F&S, so it will be fun! :)

Off to bed now, sleep well!

...and he sings AND dances....

Mo:

Normally, musicals really don´t do much for me, but with this duo, even I would pay for a ticket!

...and how happy was I that my favorite movie won?! Great!
