After the BLAST

WOW!!!

Thank you ALL of you for SMASHING 3 days :)

Straight from London and Ana Forrest with the SUNSHINE KAKAN :)

Grrrrrr!

Landed 3am in my bed Thursday night - woke up 6am ready for the NIKE weekend to HIT!

How can I sum it up into words?!
Not sure if I can but I do have the THEME word for the Weekend - HAPPINESS!

I Make Myself HAPPY seemed to be on every bodies lips - and I just LOVE it!

So many people, crowded classes, HARD kick ass classes - and still people were smiling, helping each other out instead of bitching or complaining!

I am truly IMPRESSED! You all inspire me!

FRIDAY
An evening of Smooth MOJO FLOW at METROPOLIS! I like that studio so so much! If I lived in Sthlm that's where I'd be training. Great functional gym and sweet studio overlooking the city!

SATURDAY
Cowabunga!
Started with the MULTINTENSO class - supporting David on stage, wow I love YOGA, and I love it the MultiIntenso way!

Pic - Cecilia Duberg

Got my LUNGS all warmed up after that in D'Silvas Garuda class before I had to run and change for my own - YOGA TRANCE DANCE!

I admit that I kept thinking - Why the f... did I agree on doing this class on the BIG stage. It's quiet a different class and I wasn't sure that the participants would be up for it...

Pic - Träningsglädje :)
Was I wrong or what?!
NEVER underestimate your fellow human beings! People opened their hearts, bodies and minds! I am forever grateful, thank you!
And thank you Miss PRANA Cecilia G for the play on stage with me :)

After the Yoga Trance Dance I was first filled with energy and kept going with Cecilas Organic Bodywork class. She left us in a sweet sweet relaxation - something I really needed and never really snapt out of for the rest of that evening!

The combo of the anxiety over my own class, would it work?! Are people willing?! Am I a crazy person?! and the lack of sleep rushed over my like a 4 year old... Me and A took a cab back to the hotel where I ate a whole chicken and then feel asleep.
Recharged for the Presenters DINNER in Gamla Stan :) MUMS

SUNDAY
Woke up feeling excited and nervous (again hahaha that's new for me :) preparing for my NIKE FREE! Nrevous becuase I knew it would kick my ASS...

And it did!
It turns out it kicked my ASS wearing TROSOR (I thought they were tiny shorts?!)

MAN - people have got a lot of energy in them! The NIKE FREE class was a POWERsession and today I feel it more than ever :)
Knowing if I rest I will feel it more I went straight to Davids Yoga class where I could rest my ass and hold my arms up in the air for 11min instead :) Hahaha the yin and yang of life!

Some shaking with MO to PETTER on the big stage before it was time to hit the stage one last time - BALLISTIC Style! A feminine, fun, organic BALL class to wrap up the weekend!
5min to get my stuff, run to the bus and cathc the train - Jihaaa Ballistic it is ;)

Train home after some sweet thai food and LOVE next to me :)

Pic - Magnus G
MONDAY
I had a session with my PT - can you believe it?! I hardly could!!! But it went better than I thought!
After that i landed in my sofa and stayed there :)

Today is back in business with my clients!
Well not totally back into the routines - I think someone is planning to surprise me tonight... hihihihhihihih

I LOVE U guys! Truly!
Thank you for the war words, the warm smiles, the happy bodies this weekend! I am grateful!

Nike DT runners CPH SATS

What GREAT energy in Denmark!

I started out teaching in Swedish but it turned out that i talked to fast and unclear so after a while I had to switch to English. Isn't that funny, I mean when I'm in Norway I never understand what they say but they seem to understand me so I thought it was the same here....

I love teaching workshops like this - I get to learn so much from my participants!

And the energy was SYKED!!!! A lot thanks to the MASSIVE music, remixed by GURRE my yogi DJ love!

We finished in time but somehow I ended up rushing to catch my train back home.
Getting into the taxi, I llike in a movie shouts drive FAST to the train station. The to CALM driver asks where I am going, (Me thinking: What stupid question is that... just drive!!!!!) Ohh.. Gothenburg.
He says: It's better to go to the airport.
Me: What?! NO!!!!!!!!
He: Yes - it is better!
Me: (argghhhh stupid.....€"%#%&%") I have a train ticket not a flight ticket -stupid!!!
He: It's faster
Me: I don't care - I have to take the train
He: But it is faster to take the train from the airport - that station is closer + the train arrives there later!
Me: Oh - well just drive...

Hahahaahaha

So I chilled at the airport before taking the train back to GBG :)

What if we slowed down and tried to see the other people and THEIR perspective a little more often....

Those were the days - or - my life as an aerobics groupie

MO:
Packing my bags. Again.
This time I´m off to Romania. Bucharest to be exact.

I´m teaching spinning and a Functional Training class at the World Class Romania Event.

It´ll be a fab weekend I´m sure.
The event is hosted by one of my oldest "fitness" friends, Richmond Bachia.
We´ve known each other since -95.

Also teaching at the event is an even older acquaintance of mine - the man who is solely responsible for me taking my first trembling steps into the fitness industry:
Tonkins Anderson.
He was one of the VERY first American guest instructors to come to Sweden and he was for sure the first to teach dance aerobics in Gothenburg. He stayed here for about 4-5 years.
We´re talking -89ish. Can you imagine? Were you even born in -89???

I was there. 3-4 times per week. I had MY spot (which, by the way, I would KILL for).
And if Tonkins was sick, I would stare with hostility at the sub with a gaze that said: "...sooooo...who are you and what do you think YOU could teach us?" Man, those were the times.
Tonkins used to get incredibly pissed off if someone didn´t get his choreography.
He was famous for saying things like: "Honey, if you don´t know your left from your right, the door is right behind you". And yes, it was not only hearsay.

Lucky for me, I take choreography fairly well, so I managed to stay out of the evil eye for the 3 years that I belonged to the super-groupie-troupe. Wow.

Jez, such a LONG time ago and now we´ll meet again? Weird.

I might even take his class! Why not? For old times sakes.
Hahaha, maybe this time I will be thrown out of the class?

Inspired

MO:
On my way home from a rainy Lund.
Thanks to an awesome bunch of gals from 24Seven Fitness+ Lund.
They worked incredibly hard and showed a never ending enthusiasm for both the theoretical and practical work over the 2 days.
Also, thank you Jess for being You. Knowledge, charisma, dedication and friendship rolled into one.
I'm a lucky girl.

All about CONTRAST

MO:
Back home after 4 amazing days in one of the world´s most beautiful cities.
We´ve had some tremendous weather - 20 degrees plus - + food and wine and coffee to last half a lifetime - AND we got to spend quality time together with the family.
I´m keeping my photographs for the family album. Except for these 2:

Ohhhhh...the best tasting wine I´ve had in ages...

Why Italians have more fun...

2010/11/12

...ROME

MO:
Having a fab time!
My feet are killing me after all the walking and my teeth are stained after all the red wine I'm having - but hey, when in Rome, do what the Romans do! Or what do you say?

Mum was genuinly surprised about the destination and I'm extatic about the fact that we got to take her to a place she wanted to go all her life. Tomorrow: more sightseeing and maybe...ehhrm, just a tad of shopping... :)

By the way, thank you Magnus for sending me this.

When in...

MO:
First of all, this is the second time this week someone has recommended "The Cove".
I´m not sure I can watch it. I feel sick to the pit of my stomach when I see documentaries like that.
I am the woman who refused to visit Sea World (because I could never forget the documentary I watched in my teens about dolphins trying to commit suicide when kept captured) when I went to Florida on a paid for holiday with my then partner and his family.
We almost broke up about it (which I SHOULD have done. It would have saved me from a LOT of hassle and horror later on...).

Anyway, I will watch "The Cove", but first I got to go and come back.

My wonderful, beautiful, amazing mother is 70 next week and we´re taking her and my dad on a surprise city trip Thursday-Sunday. I think they still think we´re going to Denmark, when in fact we´re flying them to a place with lots of old stuff laying around, fabulous food, adorable wine, freakinly good shopping and the best coffee in the world.

I don´t really have the time to be away, but I´ll tell you something: It will be bl...dy fantastic to go away, re-charge, re-set and then: Rush for the finish line of 2010! Yiiiihaaaaa!

Keep well and strong whilst I´m gone, will you?

Holistic Training Camp 2010

The sun is shining, we wake up only to jump into our tights and roll out the yoga mat - some meditation to set the intention then we're off :)

As we roll out of shavasana we can smell the breakfast - and out bodies are fully open to take it all in.

Then it's time for some salt-water, the ocean is calling us :)

Life is BLISS!

I agree - the cappuccino tastes more like hot chocolate, but hey - is that really a bad thing:?

I'm travelling with 4 BOYS/MEN and I must admit that I love the FEELING :) Everything is so easy, things work out naturally - FLOW.

My co-workers and witches if you like ;) since they are TRULY MAGICAL - they INSPIRE - and isn't that what it is all about?!

To be IN SPIRIT!
To foster your body, make it into a pleasant hOMe for your spirit to settle into.

I think so and this week for ME is all about that :)

TIP of the DAY on our WEBB TV here!!!!

I do miss my clients and students in Gothenburg, my mother in Annelöv, my brother in Halmstad, grandma in Lund and amazing friends who are not with me here.

Sending you all L O V E with plenty of care-taking and room for SPIRIT to have a party in and go NUTTERS!

longing to chill with you

LOVE Jo

Mission accomplished

MO:
Day 2 of the ITS Convention.
When you look at the photographs below, you would think I´ve done nothing but pose today...which could not be further from the truth.

I taught a MOJO yoga class at 10.40. I stripped it down to the very bare essentials, since the students´ English is quite shaky here. It worked out well! There was a nice flow to the class and everyone could follow.

I´m actually pleased with both my classes today.
My second being a kettlebell class.

Try to prepare for a class with 24 kettlebells instead of 50, with half of the kettlebells being the wrong weight...

I made a workshop type class and had the participants working in pairs throughout the whole session. I´m satisfied with the outcome and I had lots of good feedback after the session - so happiness all around!

We´re having an early dinner tonight and tomorrow at 6.00am we´re heading off to the airport. After travelling all day, we´ll land in Sweden tomorrow night.

How much do you think I´m looking forward to going home right now?

Oh, and we got to judge an "Instructor of the year"-competition.
The relentless judges: Marcus, Lionel, Julio, Mango & me.

POSING with some of my kettlebell students after class

Mission accomplished:
I´ve now officially taught girya/kettlebell in its homeland Russia!
Whooppa!

How many aerobic presenters does it take to change a flat tyre?

MO:
Day 4 in Siberia and first day of the convention.
I had the "pleasure" to teach the very last class of the day, so I thank Mango for keeping me alert, awake and on top of things. He also graced the stage together with me during my yoga class, which meant the world (I could work the room without people getting lost) and he got to actually do the movements without having someone´s butt in his face (I´ll explain later).

According to Mango (my travelling husband, BTW) one should do "HIGH/LOW"/ "RIS & ROS" at these events (or "BRA eller ANUS" if you´d prefer), so here goes (Non-English speaking readers you can probably figure it out):

LOW, RIS or ANUS:
* the fact that the delegates are so DESPERATE to copy choreography/moves straight off and therefore spend 50% of the time writing in their notebooks. I´m sorry, but who the hell is going to understand "...left leg lift, bounce 3 times, jump to right, wiggle butt, stretch arm diagonally to the ceiling..." even half a day later?
* the fact that about 40% of the delegates are incredibly unfit. And with that I mean either lack of strength, unbalanced, unconditioned or mentally weak (not unstable, weak).
If this is their livelihood (the absolute majority are working instructors), one wonders how they make a penny?
* the food.

HIGH, ROS or BRA:
* More smiles and warmth all around from the delegates! The whole country seem happier than last time I was here. Recession or no recession.
* The 60% of the delegates that get it, really get it.
And they are grateful, happy, fun & work hard.
* The fact that the Body & Mind classes are PACKED OUT! I mean so packed out that you can´t fit one more person on the floor. In Russia? Who would have thought?

Also the company rocks!

Mango showing how to be professional, even when the stage and the ceiling meet half way and he has to teach his whole Functional Moves class with "broken wrists". You go, MangoMo!

Mango is the most allround-trained athlete I know.
A true inspiration to what can be done with a human body.

...and when he´s not shining on stage, he´s my travelling husband...

...making sure I do NOT have to eat this for lunch...

...but instead can make myself an organic Muso soup (that should really be "Mango" soup).
I´m like the irresponsible teenager who always forgets to bring her packed lunch when I travel for work with JO & Mango...
Shame on me.

Lucky I have such amazing friends!

The venue where the event is held.

At dinner with Anton, the organizer,

Marcus Schweppe (D) - who ended up being questioned by Russian boarder police, as he tried to enter the country under "false pretenses" and

Lionel Obringer (F)
- who sms:ed Anton to say that he couldn´t find the driver at...Moscow airport. When Anton answered: "Moscow? You´re going to Novosibirsk.", Lionel replied:
"Can I catch a cab there?"

Distance Moscow - Novosibirsk: 3.000km

Thanks guys for keeping us entertained!

Missing in this picture: Julio Papi (S) and Varvara, organizer.

Mango and I relaxing at dinner

...and the answer to the headline?
Three.
Although Julio actually did most of the work.
