Prezzies all around

MO:
How nice to land at home in one´s kitchen after 4 days away!

And what a lovely surprise:

A beautiful necklace from Dogeared was waiting for me in the post.
Thank you, thank you, thank you JESS!
Although, I do feel BAD. I should be the one sending HER prezzies. You will see why this week.

Some of the things that got to travel back to Gothenburg from the Norweigan "tax-free":

Nail Colour 505 Particulière (I wasn´t too sure about this one at first, I´m a bit sceptical when it comes to beige nail polish...), Lipgloss 144 Glossimer, Nail colour 473 Coromandel

More expensive than in Sweden, but what to do when you need some distraction?
Also, I AM addicted to Chanel´s nail polishes and lipglosses...

From CHAOS comes order...

MO:

We started the day relaxed with a lazy breakfast. When our pre-made Sunday plans suddenly changed (no brunch -free time instead), we looked at each other.
P takes one look at my face and then moans: "Nooooo, don´t even say it... It´s Sunday, there´ll be millions of people!!!"

1h later we´re on our way. To the blue and yellow place.

Let me explain, P and I have never had a storage in all the places we have lived in for the last 3 years. (First place: Short term lease without storage, Second place: huge apartment, but with flooding in the basement=no storage, Third place: today´s apartment. Since we moved in they´ve been stabilizing the ground of the building=no storage...)

Try to keep some order in your living quarters, when everything you ever have accumulated is to fit into 3 rooms...
(Just my shoes need a room of their own!)

On Friday the basement was finally done and HURRAY, from now on it will actually be possible to enter the spare room! :)

Why does this place induce so much STRESS in me?

From chaos...

...comes order....
I loved the red boxes, they just had to come home with me.

All night long

Our new bathroom drawers got delivered today

MO:

It´s 00.46.
P has been working in the bathroom and I have been trying to get the office in order until now...
Robin finally fell asleep around 23.00 and we have been working constantly since then.

I did a surprise afternoon for P today! I booked mum & dad as babysitters and took P for an matinee movie. We saw Almodóvar´s " Broken Embraces" - great movie! I love Penélope Cruz, gorgeous woman. Tomorrow I promise you, the last one of the moving boxes is going OUT. :)

Back to work

Magnus Gårdmark, Linda Jonsson & I doing our work meeting in the sunshine outside Starcups.

MO:

What a productive day! P had daddy-leave today, which meant I got heaps of things done...
First, I had a work meeting with the two new team members of the InCycle team: Magnus Gårdmark & Linda Jonsson. Magnus & Linda are starting on the InCycle education team this autumn. Yeah, one big step in the right direction! M&L are great people, knowledgable, humble and fun and I´m really looking forward to working with them.

After our meeting I answered e-mails and did some more work related stuff, until 2.30pm when I went off to have some "me -time" at the beautician - lovely!

Later in the afternoon it was time for furniture shopping. We desperately needed some bathroom cupboards. We went to IKEA. Nothing. Actually, the bathroom section at IKEA must be their department of shame. Normally I love IKEA, but in comparison to all of their other showrooms, the bathroom one was hardly bigger than our living room. And the selection sucked.

So off we went. To bathroom paradise: Rörshoppen. Wow. I didn´t even know that half of this stuff existed! We arrived 30min before closing and 29min later we were proud owners of not 1 but 2 new bathroom cupboards. Yes! One more task done on a looong list of apartment related tasks!

The whole family ended the day with a big dinner at sis´ with a large group of friends.

All in all a great day!

Living in a Box

Life in a box

MO:

On this, our last night before the move we decided to stay in a hotel and let the new tenant move in to our old apartment.
It´s quite an adventure staying in a hotel in your own city... I suggested the designer hotel, whilst P wanted the local, pittoresque family run one. When P pointed out the facts that A. Maybe the designer hotel wasn´t the most child-friendly and B. I hated the (non) service I had last time I visited the designer hotel´s restaurant, I was quite happy to go for his alternative.

So far, I can warmly recommend Hotel Lilton for anyone looking for a sweet, personal, centrally located room in Gothenburg...

EVERYTHING we own is now stored in the bedroom/come office in the old apartment. It means 40sqm filled with boxes, bin bags, suitcases, bags and more boxes... Chaos.

In 24h phase 1 will be over (thank God!) and the unpacking starts...

New place, HERE WE COME!

Night owl

MO:

Phew.
After another tough evening with an inconsolable Robin between 20.00-00.30, P and I stayed up until 2.30am packing boxes and putting away the kitchen & bathroom.
Lucky for us, the rest of the night was calm and Robin both ate and slept well (as he normally does, its the beginning of the night that´s difficult).
Funny though, when you wake up for the morning feed and watch his pretty little (well, quite round now, actually) face and look into his dark, beautiful eyes all worries are washed away...

Our move doesn´t happen until Tuesday - it should have happened tomorrow, its a long story - but we only stay in the apartment until Monday (a separate story). Tomorrow the new tenant is moving in his things into our old living room, whilst our stuff will be stored in the old bedroom (stuff from 120sqm cramped into 40sqm...).
I hate moving. Meaning, I hate the preparation, the actual move and the unpacking of boxes in the new place. It really stresses me out. Few things do, but moving is one of them...

Depending on what kind of evening Robin will have we might go and see U2 tonight. I´ll let you know tomorrow how the night turned out...

Mum´s the word

MO:

What is life with a baby like after 2 weeks and 3 days? The best way to sum it up: sleep deprivation and unconditional love...

Yesterday I got 40min to myself in the early evening, grabbing a powerwalk in the woods. The feeling was bliss, although I did miss my little family whilst out.

With just over 2 weeks until we are moving apartments there are some "busy" weeks ahead. A quite different challenge moving house with a 1 month old baby in the house.

It´s still amusing/unbelievable/wonderful/unimaginable/fantastic to be able to say that I am somebody´s mum. I wonder how long it will take until it has sunk in properly?

Spring clean

MO:

I spent most of the day sorting out the new office.
1 black bin bag full of papers later, I´m nearly there.
Next up: photographing stuff to go on "Blocket" and starting to go through my wardrobes.

Keep your eyes open - in the next 2 weeks the Asian sisters will arrange the Jumble Sale of the year - I tell you, between the Designer, the Stylist, the former Clothes Store Manager & myself, there will be hundreds of phenomenal items to choose from!!!

I promise to keep you posted!

YES!

MO:

We are moving on August 1.
The dream apartment is ours.
It took over 6 months to find it, but it was all worth it in the end. Incredible.

WE ARE SOOOOO HAPPY!!! :)

When LIFE takes OVER!

So I am still recovering from the weekend!

It’s been an amazing FULL on energetic weekend.
During the days I’ve been training for the GBG half marathon and educating new AFRO POWER DANCE instructors and during the night I’ve been spending time with friends jumping, shouting, lovin it!

DAVID GUETTA – I saw him at Park Lane one year ago and then I had NO IDEA who he was – a DJ is a DJ is DJ what’s the difference?!

But that was then – I still remember that night, there was so much love in the air and I never wanted the night to end!

This Saturday the expectations were ON! And let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed ☺
I was standing close to the stage a bit to the left – when she appeared - KELLY ROWLAND! Oh my GOD! Such a hot foxy lady – with an ANGEL’s voice! No I can’t wait to see Beyonce ☺

People ask me how I do it and sometimes I ask myself how I do it – and the answer is plain and simple – when you love what you do you GET ENERGY from it! And that’s for everything in life – weather its exercise, spending time with your loved one, friends, family, taking care of your home, preparing dinner etc.

But NO my plan is not to abandon sleep from my life – I LOVE that to. It’s all about the yin and yang isn't it ?!

YOUR LIFE IS A ROAD
YOUR FEELINGS ARE YOUR GUIDE
YOUR BODY IS YOUR VEHICLE

ENJOY THE RIDE Jo

Task of the Week

MO:

It´s true.

Pregnancy brings out the "nesting"-instinct. I´ve never had that feeling before and it´s quite unnerving that having a bump means that you desperately want to get your home in order for the big arrival. Not that our current home is not in order, but it would be nice to find a place to buy, instead of renting.

Sis & M went through their move on Friday and they now own a lovely, lovely apartment in one of the most coveted streets in this city. Our goal is to find something very close to where they are. Not the most simple task, but hey, why do simple things when you can make them more challenging?...

We spend so much time at each others homes it would be the most practical solution. Also with Bebbo on the way, imagine how helpful it would be to live just around the corner from each other?

Soooo..Task of the week: Find new home and let nesting instincts FLY...

My Worst Critic...

...is my Brother!!

When it comes to the men I date, how I run my company – everything from press to locations, the music I listen to and the TV shows I watch!

But that’s also why I LOVE him!
I know he’s always honest and truthful and that he wants the BEST for me.

If I’ve done an interview for a magazine I always send the article to him for corr reading, when I am falling in Love I always send a pic of the guy to him and before I launch a new workshop or education I always ask him to design it.

Even when it comes to media – he showed me HOUSE and DEXTER and now this song!!

This song took me around 16 km today – running around in the city with my NIKE+ !!
Perfect – I told my Ipod to measure 16k’s and so it told me how far and fast I was running whilst playing this HOT song over and over again ☺

Now it’s time for the AFRO POWER DANCE Teacher Training for SPORTLIFE here in Gbg and then I’ll continue to shake shake shake all night with my homie D. GUETTA

Life is good

Much LOVE Jo

Now what's up with that?

So since MO isn't complaining today I guess it is my turn ;)

What's up with people who talk about being straight forward, honest and open?

To me it seems like a lot of people are good at the talk but what about the walk?

My problem (and it shouldn't be a problem really, but in this society it is) is that I always trust people, if they say something I naturally think that they mean it, for real! (even when it is a joke, that might not be too good, that's why they call me POM!)

I guess it's complicated, it always is, that's just they way it goes...

If I get better I'm gonna shake some serious bootey to this song Saturday :)

Jihaaa
