Spread the LOVE

MO:
I love my colleagues at Gymnasium Sisjön!
Thanks to Madeleine & Stina who joined my classes tonight, spreading heaps of energy and power around themselves!

Then when I got back to the changing room after class number 3, I find the following in my high heel:

I mean, what can you say? From one toddler mum to another:
Thank you for your love, Malin!

The last, but not least THANK you goes out to the crew from Filborna Arena, who hired a minibus to travel all the way from Helsingborg to join the awesome triple: Spinning, Kettlebell, Hot MOJO.

Love you, guys!

Snap back to reality...

MO:
After a full day with a snotty Robin - who were not too happy except from when we visited the playground - I rushed off to teach my classes at 5pm.
I didn´t even have time to vote.
Damn it, it will be left on my to-do-list yet another week...

Despite the hectic weekend I felt fine. It was lovely to see all my regulars again!
Grabbed a stressed shower after my 3 classes and changed into date nite mode.

If you can love a pair of shoes, I´m certainly in love with my new Burberry high heels...
I am happy that I didn´t have to chase a bus in them though.
Jez, it was far too long since I wore proper heels.

Burberry S&M platforms. What´s not to like, really?

We got to try out the new menu at Meet. The Mixed Grill. O.M.G it was GOOD!

Thanks Mike, you´re a star.

Date Night

MO:
3 classes later, I´m having date night with my husband.
P - not only the best in the world - but the best in the Universe.
Meeting him saved my life. In more ways than one.

Monday night is DATE night...

Love is in the air

MO:
In the big scheme of things, what REALLY counts?
To me, it´s: LOVE and FRIENDS.

Everything else are added extras to spice up my life, but not essential in the true sense of the word.

I feel extremely lucky to have both.
Lots and lots of love, with my partner, my son, my family and not to forget, a handful of really close friends, who offer some extraordinary friendships.
People who are there, through thick and thin, supporting me and cheering me on - both in good times and bad.

I wouldn´t be half the person without this amazing "safety net" and with it, I know I will reach the stars and beyond.
There really are no limits to what can be done and I´m amazed and grateful that this charmed life is mine.

MOJO LOVE

Put the needle on the record and the drum beat goes like this

MO:

Overheard while waiting to have my second tattoo of the week:

Guy entering the shop: "Eeeerrr...is there a long waiting list to get an appointment?"
Freddan, "my" tattoist. "Depends on what you´d like to have done."
Guy: "Something on my forearm"
Freddan: "On the inside?"
Guy (In a VERY hesitant voice): "Nooo...more on the outside, like here..(pointing to arm)....I think..."
Freddan: "Ok...and what motive?"
Guy: "A little old man..." (Svensk översättning: En liten gubbe)
Freddan: "A little old man?"
Guy: "...ehhh..yeah..."
Freddan: "Any little old man, or do you have a particular one in mind?"
Guy (laughing nervously): "I guess I need to know right?"
Freddan: "Yup, that would be helpful. Otherwise I can always just draw a little old man, ANY little old man, and stick him on your arm, but I´m not sure you would be too happy with that..."
Guy:"...ooookey...I´ll come back then later in the week?"
Freddan: "You´re welcome"

WOW.

The conversation really went like that, more or less word for word. How I could keep myself from laughing, I really don´t know. A tattoist is not just a fantastic artist, he or she needs to be an excellent psychologist as well. And have the patience of a nursery school teacher.

My third (second this week) and last tattoo - at least for another 20 years, is a homage to the two most important people in my life. It´s my anniversery present to P (for years to come!) and a tribute to Robin...
They say the wrist should be the most painful place to get tattooed. The top of my back hurt a thousand times more. Not sure why, but man, it was painful!
You won´t be able to see it properly with all the covering, but you get the flavour:

As they say: Pain is temporary...

Happy New Year!

MO:

3 years with P today!
When I came back from a lovely, supadupa fika with JOJO, this bouquet of incredible roses was waiting for me on the kitchen table...

Now we are chillin´ at home, with relaxed plans for tonight (dinner at sis´). I´m actually kind of wasted after a tough night with Robin. I tell you what, this morning I would have sold him for 1 SEK - I was so, so tired... After having wrestled with him from midnight to 3am, and then again from 4.15-6.30am, I was asking myself WHO on earth had thought it was a great idea to have kids????? Had I really agreed to this? And was it still possible to have an exchange, like when you are not satisfied with the size/colour/brand of your Christmas present?
Lucky he´s cute. Lucky I love him. Because between not sleeping and having puke all over my clothes - it´s needed.

I wish you a tremendous New Year´s Eve - see you all in 2010,
Rested, Healthy and Strong! :)

Paper Anniversary

Exactly 1 year ago...

MO:

Having a lovely Christmas break. After hanging out with the family for the last 2 days, P, Robin and I returned to the city - went for a run in the hail (yes, the whole family and yes, we ARE mad...but, boy, did it feel GOOD???) and now, the evening is for P and I.
It´s exactly 1 year ago since we got married!
Unbelievable how time flies.
1 year ago since 2 people had to fight me into my wedding dress (3 months+ pregnant). 1 year ago since I said yes to the love of my life.

Celebrating 1 year! Dress Whyred, belt Burberry, shoes Cacharel

It´s cold outside, but it´s warm in here

MO:
Hoping for a White Christmas, actually feeling a little bit of Christmas spirit in the cold air.

YES to sharing LOVE with loved ones, friends and family.
YES to celebrating the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010.
YES to winding down towards the holidays and entering them with a relaxed approach and a peace of mind.
YES to kissing under the mistletoe (and everywhere else, if you are so inclined).
YES to new adventures and unknown surprises. 2010 - bring it on.

Love me tender

MO:

Funny, as we were about to take our seats, I receive an sms: "You look good down there on row 2...". Turns out we were not the only toddler parents having called in baby-sitters to be able to go to the cinema this Sunday. Malin & Daniel also bribed theirs, to see "Flickan som lekte med elden".
What P and I got confirmed tonight, was that Robin is not ready to be left for a full day and a night just yet. He cried his way through the afternoon and didn´t stop until we were back, so I just canceled our trip to Stockholm next week. No Maxwell live at Berns, I´m afraid.

I thought about something when I was out on a (very heavy) lunchtime run today. This is a little something for those of you out there in a relationship.
Ask yourself this question: What makes your partner love you?
Make a list and then compare it to the actual answer/s. Does it match? Does it matter if it does? Is it the same qualities that were important when you started dating, or have priorities changed? Is it personality traits or learned skills or both that makes him/her certain that you are the One?

What I put on the list? Well, let´s just say that it didn´t include my cooking skills...

Question for the weekend

MO:

First free weekend in over 5 weeks. Nice to have both Saturday and Sunday with the family. We begun the weekend with a lovely dinner with F&F last night. I will miss Febs so much when he now officially packs his bags and moves to Stockholmo. It´s sad, but also absolutely fabulous. Finding the love of your life makes you radiant.

Is it the time of year or is it something in the water? The theme at the moment seems to be either a) falling head over heels in love or b) breaking up. Weird, isn´t it, how these things always seem to happen in clusters?

By the way, to all iPhone users out there: which subscription (abbonemang) do you have and are you happy with it? I´m with Telenor at the moment, but it seems like 3 has got the better deal with iPhone. Saying that, trying to understand the small print is a nightmare...All feedback is welcome. Help!

CHAOS

“Decision is the spark that ignites action.

Until a decision is made nothing happens.”

Today is just one of those days...

After a Fab week in Turkey - where I dropped willingly into the present moment without hesitation or any DAMP over having to check my e-mails, doing my office homework etc etc. Just going with the flow of the Mediterranean flow!

The thing is that the "everyday" flow hits you like a wall when you get back - especially when you are as naive as little me and plan 3 full on Yoga Teacher Trainings in 3 different cities without blinking just like that...

Waking up this Monday was like moving my feet in a 10 ton block of cement - No FLOW there aight!

Thank GOD for close friends and soul mates! Meet N for the first time in months and months - but still it felt as though we never parted. It's like he knows me and I know him - better than we know ourselves! Interesting. For a minute I felt like crying - don't know if it was from over exhaustion, sadness that I haven't spent time with him in a long long time or pure happiness. Either way it felt GOOD!

He made my heart skip and beat in its PURE true rhythm again :)

THANK U N!

Now - What do you need to decide?
Is there something in your heart that you have been wavering around, thinking you aren’t good enough, that you don’t have enough time, that you don’t have enough money.

What?
What is it?
Make a decision...go for it and know that your decision will spark action and things will begin to happen...
Isn’t it time to decide?

LOVE Jo

I´m in love....

MO:

Did an early morning training session (kettlebell+yoga), still stiff from yesterday´s run, before my yoga class at 9. Spent time doing great technique work with Fredrik from Kettlebell Center. I want to up my KB-weight in the next couple of months, to get to the point where I train regularly with 16kg, and then 20kg.
Taught "double trouble" tonight (spinning60-tempo work +kettlebell45).
In my periodization schedule this is a hard training week, followed by next week´s holiday and therefore light training load (trekking, yoga, stretching).

So far so good.

What do you WANT?

MO:

What do you WANT?

It´s hard to keep focus amongst all the beautiful material things that we are surrounded by in this world...the fame, the fortune, the cars, the houses, the clothes, the holidays, the status, the chase of...happiness? Love?

Something´s in the air. I´m watching some of my closest friends go through the biggest changes and transformations in their lives at the moment and it has made me realize a couple of things:

I know the cliché: "No one else can make you happy, you have to make yourself happy" and I can agree with that to a certain extent, but my little family makes me so incredibly happy, that it is also true that other people can bring you happiness.

Finding a good relationship is HARD, not to say immensely difficult. How do you get the pieces to fit together, not to mention STAY together? When do you blow the whistle and get out? When do you know you have tried everything you can to save a broken liaison and when is it just self deprivating to even stay another day?

That is why, in this hour, I am undescribably grateful for having found what I want: to love and to be loved... That is what really matters.

One step forward, two steps back..

MO:

...that´s what it felt like this morning...
Some areas of my body have healed really well by now and feel like they are on their way back to normal, however I noticed already last night that my left breast was starting to feel incredibly sore whilst breastfeeding.
After a tough night - Robin didn´t fall asleep until 2am, the poor soul had the hickups, threw up twice and was therefore hungry and agitated most of the evening - I woke up this morning with a throbbing, sore and very hot left breast. A plugged milk duct.
I cried my way through the first feeding of the day. And not the silent kind of still crying. We´re talking full on crying with sound effects included. The pain was undescribable. A 10 out of 10. Just to put it into perspective: the delivery of Robin went up to a 9 at the most - on the same pain scale...

I´ve treated the breast all day with alternating heat and ice. I´ve also continued breastfeeding on the sore side and it´s slowly gotten a little bit better...

It sort of gives a whole new meaning to the saying: "Pain is temporary" (and I´ve added my own ending: "...and the reward lasts forever...")

Robin - the Reward that lasts forever...

Welcome ROBIN - Välkommen ROBIN

Mo:

On July 1, 19.30 he finally arrived. Our prince, our treasure, our son:
ROBIN.

50cm tall & 3.640g "heavy" weight he took us by storm and swept us away with the feelings of love that he immediately installed in our hearts.

The full horror story of the labour will be revealed tomorrow. Not for the faint-hearted.

Thanks to ALL for your well-wishes and congratulations!

Love Mo

I LOVE you but I will CRUSH you!

So hows the running going?
Ey Ladies?

This morning I was fighting my own leg's, it SUCKS... but hey ... sometimes true love is all about pushing through!

To remain within your comfort zone is an option but don't then hope to rise to great heights.
The successful path is rarely the easiest or most comfortable: to evolve is always difficult. Life involves lots of risk-taking and it will always be a succession of challenges, but don't be afraid to lose!
It's only by tasting the bitterness of your mistakes that you will enjoy the sweetness of your achievements!

Looking forward to another full on day with a fab visitor from London, some BodyPump and the midnight train to Malmö and perhaps some HOUSE al night long...

LOVE Jo

Highlights of today....

Mo:

Highlights of today:

1) Spending time with P on a semi-free day. We had a great "work" meeting where we set our goals for this coming autumn both as a couple and concerning work. I will tell you all about it shortly, but basically it means that we have taken the first step to work more closely together.

2) Deciding when to stop teaching before having baby. I´m going to drop my Wednesday Kettlebell 45 class in 4 weeks...the rest of my classes I will keep until May 13, then I´ll have about 6 weeks of my own training, resting and getting PREPARED for the big adventure. My last big weekend job is on May 16.

3) Singing along veeery LOUDLY in the car to THE CURE, thinking about P.

4) Having some wonderful homemade waffles, made by P, with whipped cream and organic blackberry jam.

"Whenever I´m alone with you
you make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I´m alone with you
you make me feel like I am whole again

Whenever I´m alone with you
you make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I´m alone with you
you make me feel like I am fun again

However far away
I will always love you
However long I stay
I will always love you
whatever words I say
I will always love you"
