Your EDGE?

Feels like I just landed in my apt and now I am on my way again!
To LULEÅ and INPULS who celebrated 10 years today, BIG CONGRATULATIONS !!!

Still on a high from London and Tina Turner! Wow!!!

What a lady! She ran back and forth on a very very narrow stage 10m above thousands of people IN High high heels!!

There were NO safety nets or safety lines!!!

So I am thinking that I need to live a bit more on the edge... in order to evolve and be like TINA when I am 70!

What do you think about THIS ?!

Off to bed now, have to get up at 430am to fly to Luleå!

My london london.. is going down!!

HELLOOO!

Back from London, that's where mom and I spent the last beautiful days!

I already miss her! Don't think I know that many who could spend 24/7 with their mom and still miss her when they get home :)

But then again, I don't know many moms like MY mom :)

This song, for example was the ONE we were singing all day long, every day in London (except for Simply the BEST off course).

Right now I have SOO much work to do, but I'll promise to tell you all about what to do and not to do whilst in London, and if the grand old lady passed the test!

The Heat is on

Mo:

Working in the fitness industry, you get used to seeing new concepts come and go...
A few inventions make it to the absolute top, meaning it will go mainstream in 1-2yrs and most gyms will offer the program/the machine/the concept.

The history of spinning is legendary and the force with which indoor cycling made its place in group training is almost second to none.
Les Mills has managed to do the same with their programs.
Who would have thought cycling or barbell training would make it that big???

Other programs like "The Slide" came and went faster than you could say "skating". (I was actually invited to attend the very first official SLIDE Master training workshop ever held in the UK - I lived in Scotland at the time - and trained for 1 day with the program director Linda something...not something that has stuck on my CV ever since...)

There´s also programs that deserve a bigger success than they get. H.E.A.T is one of those. I shot the following short video clip about 3 years ago at a Fitness Show in Firenze (Florence), Italy and I actually thought H.E.A.T had the potential to make it big.

H.E.A.T was booked at IDEA that year and the program had a very charismatic front person, who made people scream and holler in ecstasy during his sessions...
What happened?
H.E.A.T wasn´t to be seen outside Italy during the years to come and now there are other indoor walking programs popping up like mushrooms right left and center.

I can´t wait to see my old Master Trainer Johnny G present his new baby, KRANKING at FIBO this year. Hype or Hit? A full report will be found on MOJO at the end of April...

U2 360 Tour LIVE i Göteborg, 31 juli!

Mo:

I want, I want, I want tickets to go and see U2 live at Ullevi, here in Gothenburg on July 31!
Tickets go on sale March 13 09.00.
When I´m in Barcelona.
Prices ranges from 400-1175SEK.
Media is saying that it´s highly likely that they´ll do a 2nd concert, either before or after the 31st. I´ll have to wait until that release date, because there is no way I´m doing the Ticnet-virtual queuing one more time.

Best U2 song to date?
In my opinion: equal race between "New Years Day" & "With or without you"

Home is where the HEART is

Mo:

Work went well in Tidaholm and I had a lovely group of people from Växjö, Mariestad & Tidaholm at the training course... but gosh, it´s great to be home!

P and I went to look at yet another apartment tonight, a cute 3-roomer in Linné. The apartment was NICE, but I´m not sure I would feel too comfortable living in Andra Långgatan. We have enough druggies and mental patients in our current street.
Adding to that, you will also find the hookers, the pimps, the criminals and the drunks in said street... Yes, it´s "pittoresque, bohemian & very Brick Lane-wannabe", but how much of that is ME? Ask my friends... they would probably start laughing just at the thought of me living at that address...not to mention what they would say if I told them that the tenants in this property have to do their own cleaning of the public staircase, yard and pavement! (Seriously, they would pee their pants!)

Would I be happy here?

... what about here? A house, a barn & a shed for 500.000:-, anyone? Hook? You would have to live right in the village of Nowhere, close to the little town of H....ljunga, a village that prides itself in the slogan: "Welcome to H...ljunga, a place in the world to live in"

Mirror,mirror upon the wall....

Mo:

When I´m travelling I´m always trying to find the time to do a little "mini-spa", like peeling, facials, manicures, pedicures, etc.
Tonight I´m trying Decléors Aroma Sun Hydrating Tinted Self-tanning gel/cream. I think my face is more "tanned" already, but hey-this cream has such a STRONG, overpowering odour that I´m not sure I´ll be able to fall asleep!

I´m always a bit suspicious when it comes to self-tanners - I have this fear of waking up streaky-orange, with no way of getting the fake colour to go away.
Yet, after such a long winter feeling almost see through - what´s a girl got to do? I´m not too fond of sunbeds. They don´t feel too hygenic and they make your skin wrinkle. :)
So, if you have a personal self-tanning favourite, (someone told me that L´oréal´s Sublime Bronze Automatic is supposed to be good?) - that gives a great colour, is odourless and non-sticky, please let me know.

Good things Bad things

MO:

JO, have a lovely time with your mum in ______!
What a fab surprise birthday present!

Whilst JOJO is using her passport and spending a leisurely time in ______ I´m travelling to Hälsocenter TIDAHOLM tomorrow for yet another InCycle Certification Course.
Me and the bump are waking up at 6.30am to take the car 150k north.

I´m back late Sunday afternoon.

By the way, someone decided to start bidding on "our" apartment this afternoon, 3 days before the official showing. We took on the fight, but decided to let it go once it was 500.000SEK above the asking price... NOT a lot of fun, but hey, as the saying goes there will be others....

Luckily, other great things happened today. I can finally see how my other business idea will get the chance it deserves around late summer time... I´ll tell you more about it as soon as I can, I promise.

Have a lovely weekend, MOJO:ers!

From Workoholic to....?oholic!

DO NOT watch the video, it sucks!
Just listen to the song :)

Just landed in Annelöv, Skåne after some days in Stockholm! Will tell you more about it soon (very exciting NIKE + YOGA = LOVE)

Finishing of some last parts of my GLOBAL YOGA Teacher Training for Luleå next weekend. Took a short break and found this song! One of my favourites!

One of the band members was playing in Gbg last friday, but I had to go to Halmstad.... oh well, vad är en bal på slottet....

This weekend I have VERY exciting plans, and they don't involve work at all :) Jihaaa

Låtsas som att det regnar

Some Friday poetry for you!!

vilket är svårt (still don't know if I belive in this part!)

LOVE from a rainy Skåne

Question of life

Mo:

Yes. It was the first apartment that we´ve looked at during the last 2 months, that made us both go: "OOOOhhh".
We will join the bidding war from Barcelona next Friday...

I had planned a lie-in this morning. My passenger wanted differently and what can you do when the turning and kicking wakes you up at 7.30am? I tried to fall asleep again. To no avail. It actually just got worse. I get it, I get it, it´s a way of "slowly" handing your life over to another person. A way to adjust. Well, I both welcome it and dread it at the same time.

I didn´t want children for a LOOOONG time. During all those years I missed having a great child-less "role model", someone who had made the decision not to have children and being happy and content with that choice. There were one or two who I would refer to and look to, but there were just as many that I would not like to turn into.

I went from: 1) Absolutely NOT wanting to have children 2) MAYBE one day in the far future, I´d like children 3) IF I´m ever having any children-it´s with this man! 4) I think that maybe I´d like ONE child...
to: 5) Ok, I´m never going to be completely "ready". So let´s go - let´s try to become pregnant.

This means that during the last 5 months I have had many comments like: "...wow! YOU´re pregnant? I never thought YOU...sorry, I mean...." followed by much blushing and stuttering. Actually, it´s ok, I don´t mind.
I´m well aware that people around me didn´t think that I would change my mind and do the mum-thing. Even my own mother were a bit surprised (and emotional - she loves kids, and all cred to her, she has NEVER bugged me about my earlier "no children"-stance).

Getting this far into the pregnancy, I can happily say that I am ready. I look forward to it. I look forward to putting this little person first and I look forward to getting another outlook and another perspective on life. I can also honestly say that I would not have been ready one day earlier and I am truly grateful to have waited for the right time and the right place and the right man...

MG & ER being living evidence that MUM can still equal GLAMOUR... :)

"Exactly" 4 months left...

Mo:

Ahhhhhh, much better today! Even the sun came out!

A bit tired right now after 2 full on classes tonight, tired but happy. My body still feels great and even if the bump is a bit temperamental (HUGE one day-almost none existing the next) it is amazingly strong and "with it"!

Today it is exactly 4 months to Bebbelina´s official arrival date...

I´m having a lie-in tomorrow morning and then we´re off to look at THE apartment. I´m both hoping it will be the right one - our new home - and at the same time already dreading the bidding...

Will keep you posted...

NIKE + YOGA = SANT

After teaching 3 classes I ran to the gorgeous P for a haircut! Watching him cut hair is even better than watching the BALLET! He is AMAZING!

A quick lunch and then planning with Mango ... can't say any more... not yet!

Singing in the rain we left my hOMe for Hagabadet where I taught the yogis about HOT YOGA. As I will be away next week, hot Kitty will teach the Hot Yoga classes, and I know that she will raise the temperature at least a couple degrees :)

So at the end of a long beautiful day I am now packing my bags for Stockholm. The NIKE office is having a big thingie around YOGA and I am gonna tell them all about it :) hihih

Perhaps with a little help from YOU:

- what are the latest trends in yoga?

- who is attending your classes?

- how can yoga help the athlete in her training?

- What are the latest trends in yoga outfits?

What do you say? Would love your trendy noses to tell me what you want more of! Off to bed soon I hope!

La la la love Jo

One of THOSE days

Mo:

I´ve felt a bit like this today:

Darling Daisy taking a nap

Even if I had a good start with a morning meeting with MG, a lunchtime yoga session (doing my own training) and a fairly good administrative session in front of the computer. Just one of those days, when the rain is pouring down and the sky is an even silvery-grey colour...

Doing the weekly food shopping now. Need to find something to lift my spirit... Something with C-vitamins (yes, still got that craving) and perhaps DORITOS... :)

Tonight´s yummy dinner: fresh haddock and lemon sole covered in crumbs, fresh prawns & avocado/tomato/red onion-salad...got me in a better mood instantly...

...and maybe a few of these later... I´m not a chocolate person - I like salty, spicy things, and as far as crisps go, this is my absolute favorite: Sweet Chilli Pepper Doritos...

The HEAT is ON!

Finally it is getting warmer at Hagabadet... LOVELLY!

After a weekend of BodyBalance and YOGA in Halmstad and Falköping I just can't seem to get enough :)

Tomorrow I am teaching the Yogis ans Yoginis at Hagabadet how to teach HOT YOGA.

I love this class, I really do!

Just let me know if you want to try it :)

Shanti Om

Do Not Go Here For Dinner, folks!

Mo:

Restaurant at Avalon Hotel =
0 recommendation, 0 points, 0 stars.

I had a brilliant evening this evening with K and her friends. Although K and I have known each other for 18yrs, this was the first time that I met her 3 cousins, her brother and 2 of her childhood friends. We met to have dinner and to celebrate K´s birthday.

The venue was the restaurant part of the Avalon Hotel (not the Bistro). This is the second chance I give this restaurant since it was a joke last time I visited concerning the service (and the food was mediocre to say the least).

Instead of improving, it had gotten worse...
Where do I start? I ask if they have freshly squeezed fruit juice (from fresh fruit...) as a non alcoholic apperetif and in that case can I please have it without any added sugar? The waitress looks at me blankly in response and asks: "So no sockerdricka in it?" (Sockerdricka is the sweet, Swedish version of 7Up or Sprite)
Me: (is this a joke?): "...ehhh, no thanks. No sockerdricka"
When the pre-dinner drinks arrive, I´m left without a drink. Suddenly the waitress appears again: "Is orange juice fine?"
Me: "Is it freshly squeezed? Otherwise I´ll just have some mineral water, thanks" She disappears and arrives with a barman (the head barman it later turns out).

He carries a packet of "God Morgon" Juice (think cheaper version of Tropicana). "Is this alright?"
Me: "So you don´t have freshly squeezed fruit juice? In that case, I´ll just have a mineral water without flavour"
Barman, whilst shaking his head (talk about mixed messages) "Yes".
Me: "No or Yes? You have freshly squeezed fruit juice"?
Barman: "Sure, I can fix that"
Me
thinking: Am I in the twilight zone?

Juice turns up in a tumbler glass. 50% ice cubes and 50% God Morgon Juice. Same colour, same taste. Freshly squeezed juice have a very distinct colour and a very distinct taste. Me thinking: just keep calm, no need to kick up a stink right now.

Sea bass arrives. Tastes of nothing. Until I start getting slightly deeper into the dish, then it suddenly tastes of nothing plus a not very flattering flavour that I can´t distinguish. I don´t finish my plate (hey, how often does that happen???? Hardly EVER!).

Dessert. Average banana & chocolate dish, with a presentation that reminds me of the only one of Daisy´s diapers that I have ever changed. (So sorry, D, absolutely no offence to you).

Conversation is great. Laughter is all around. We´re having a jolly good time! K´s cousin M and I really hit if off. She is the mother of 3 and tells me about her future dream: leaving her job as a business controller to start up a gardening business together with her husband. She is a very intelligent and inspiring woman.

Time flies. We order the bill.
Instead of getting billed for one glass of wine, one of the guests gets charged 600SEK for a full bottle. My God Morgon juice is 68SEK. I ask to speak to the barman. To cut a long story short, he claims to, and these are his exact words
"....I went and found a fruit press and put 3 oranges and 2 apples in to make your juice" (Where did he "go and find" that??? I though that Mediamarkt was closed at 9pm Saturday evening?...)
When I told him: "That just cannot be true. I have a fruit juicer at home and I KNOW what colour apples make in a juice - BROWN - and together with oranges it becomes beige-yellow, unless you have used an orange press, with which you cannot possibly juice APPLES anyway - You´re lying."
Barman: "I have left my customers at the bar to come out here. I asked you if you wanted blablabla and you said no, so I made it fresh...blablabla...This is the price for the juice, I can´t do anything"
Me: "I don´t care about the money, it´s the principle that you come out here and tell a lie. You serve God Morgon juice and call it freshly squeezed, when it´s apparent that it´s NOT.
That SUCKS!
" (I´m not really sure where that one came from, but it felt good to say it).

By this time, I´m fed up with having an imbecile moron taking up my time and my breathing space, so I look him up and down, slowly turn my back to him and go "So, shoo, leave now. Go back to your customers at the bar. Byebye"

Don´t worry, I paid for the juice. Of course I did. But I will also tell EVERYONE I know, where NOT to go on their next dinner out. Actually, the word has probably spread already without my help. The restaurant was not even half-full tonight, Saturday night after salary. Probably I´m not the only one who refuses to pay for lousy service and bad food.

Positive things with the evening: New dress from Whyred, new snakeskin tights from Zara, necklace & clutch bag from Hoss, fantastic company & great conversation!

Nitenite, sweeties.
